Summary

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Tamworth

Hours: Day Shift

Mon-Thurs 08:00hrs-17:00hrs

Friday 08:00hrs-14:30hrs

Pay Rate: £17.50 p/hour (Varies on experience)



We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector for our client in Tamworth. They are highly regarded and have earned a world-wide reputation as leading supplier of high performance precision engineering solutions for global market leaders.

**Whats the job?**


* Working within the AS9100, ISO9001 & ISO17025 standards
* Able to interpret engineering drawings and inspect to those requirements.
* Programming and Use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (QCT and Mitutoyo software).
* Programming, Evaluation and Operation of a Gear Measuring Machine.
* Use of general measuring equipment including micrometers, surface testers and contour tracers
* Maintaining route card completion.
* Interactions with Manufacturing Personnel.
* Working within a team of quality related personnel.
* Working with First Article Reporting methods (Aerospace and Automotive).
* Ability to operate & communicate within all functions and levels within the business.
* Can use Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word).
* Utilise the business ERP/MRP system
* Work to Local Works Instructions and Quality Control Documents.
* Must have a good eye for detail.
* Ensures adherence to the Environmental Health & Safety policy at all times



**Knowledge, experience & qualifications**


* Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D, ISO9001: 2015 & ISO17025: 2017.
* Experience of CMM programming & Gear Measuring Machine measuring
* Experience working with Aerospace / Automotive OEMs
* Able to demonstrate a good understanding of measurement evaluations
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
* Compiling of FAIR reports for customers
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Powerpoint and Project
