We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Curriculum Cluster Leader and Teacher of Economics who will strive to make a substantial difference to the lives of our students, our college and the wider community.

We are looking for someone with drive, energy, a genuine love for teaching and learning and a passion for curriculum development, someone who has the vision to ensure all our students receive high quality teaching and has a record of achieving the best outcomes from their students. We expect all of our students to be challenged, to be inspired and to achieve beyond expectation.

Our Curriculum Cluster leaders form a key part of middle leadership at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College – they are responsible for leading one or more courses, helping to drive standards and have the capabilities to support the teachers within their Cluster. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards while also incorporating exciting practical elements to enhance student learning experiences.

If you are an enthusiastic and self-motivated practitioner, with strong organisational skills and have the ability to engage staff and students we would be delighted to speak to you about the role. Previous experience leading or managing a team would be beneficial. However, the successful applicant would be provided with one-to-one support, coaching and access to external career development opportunities.

In addition to leading the Cluster you will also be expected to teach A Level Economics as well as Business. As such previous experience teaching Economics at A-Level is essential. You will be given 4.5 hours per week to undertake specific duties related to the cluster leader role and your teaching commitments will take up the remainder of your role.
