We also work with clients with Mild or Moderate Learning Disabilities if they are not able to access mainstream services with reasonable adjustments. There are many exciting projects either actively in progress, or on the horizon. Some of our current service development work focuses on trauma-informed care, positive behaviour support, anti-racism, people participation, transition & STOMP. We are looking for clinicians with excellent clinical skills and a commitment to collaborative MDT working.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

Newham is a culturally diverse borough which provides a wonderful opportunity to work creatively alongside families taking into account their context and valuing their expertise. As a team we work hard to overcome barriers that prevent our clients from having the best lives possible and we look forward to welcoming a new clinicians to our team to continue this journey.

We are proud of our team relationships and rely on this for close collaborative MDT working, and mutual support. We have several virtual MDT pathways within the team that focus either on Behaviours that Challenge, Complex Physical Health or Dementia. The Newham team sits within a Learning Network of three other Community LD Teams across ELFT services that cover other boroughs. This is a rich resource of professional support.

We are keen to talk with interested candidates and elaborate on the post. If you would like to have further conversations ahead of applying please contact Dr Rhianne Lewis (Lead Clinical Psychologist) (rhianne.lewis4@nhs.net).
