Summary

Intelligent Data, a prominent survey, data capture, and processing company established in 2007, is a leader in providing transport survey data across the UK market.

We are a dynamic and growing business with ambitious visions, operating in a specialised market where individuals can swiftly make a substantial impact. We are on the lookout for individuals who aspire to contribute to our enduring success, taking ownership of their roles within our organisation.

Operating in a relaxed and supportive work environment, we foster collaboration and enjoyment in our workspace. Our workplace features an open office plan, hybrid work options where feasible, enjoyable social events throughout the year, and the chance to engage in projects that contribute to environmental improvements.

Joining our exceptionally talented team requires individuals who are not only passionate about their work but also possess the drive to instigate innovation and bring about change.

The Role:

Join our Site Operations Team and embark on an exciting journey with us as we expand! We're on the lookout for a driven individual eager to broaden their skill set as a Site Technician. Full training awaits the right candidates.

This role is remote, based out of our Sudbury, Suffolk depot, with daily travel to project sites across the region and the UK. Our Site Operations team operates during evenings and weekends, so flexibility and on-call availability are essential. While we prioritise scheduling Monday to Friday, you may occasionally need to work outside these times, especially during our busy periods. You'll join our supportive team in Sudbury and report to our Maidenhead HQ, equipped with a works van and all necessary tools. Please be aware that this role involves working outside in all weathers, a high number of hours driving to the various sites in a shift, and may sometimes include an overnight hotel stay.

As a Site Technician, you'll report to the Site Operations Manager and handle the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary survey data equipment nationwide.

We operate an Annualised Hours contract for this role, based on 37 hours per week, across 5 days within a 7-day week, though you will be expected to work longer hours during our peak periods and less during our quieter periods. The basic salary is averaged out over the year in 12 monthly payments with overtime rostered hours paid quarterly, one month in arrears. Overtime is readily available once you have hit your quarterly hours.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Equipment installation and removal in line with company health and safety roadside compliance
* On-site equipment maintenance
* Manual data collection
* Supporting with any ad-hoc tasks the Site Operations team needs support with.

Requirements:
* Full valid UK licence, and be more than 21 years old to meet our vehicle insurance requirements
* A technical background in equipment maintenance would be beneficial
* Previous experience with power tools would be beneficial
* Flexible with planned working hours
* Good communication and organisation skills, recognising the need for attention to detail
* Ability to follow company procedures, recognise health and safety concerns, accept instructions, and meet tight deadlines
* Average or above level of numeracy and IT skills.

What we offer
* Salary starts from £24,000 depending on relevant experience, plus unlimited overtime paid at an hourly rate.
* Workplace pension based on auto-enrolment criteria.
* Company Bonus Scheme: discretionary annual bonus scheme linked to Company profits and personal performance.
* 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (some mandatory holiday periods during off-peak using only 2 days annual leave per week)
* Long Service Award Scheme: Annual leave allowance increases by one day per year after 3 years of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
* Christmas Closedown.
* Discretionary Birthday leave.
* In addition to this if you volunteer regularly for a registered charity, you can earn an extra two days of holiday in a calendar year.
* ‘Bike to Work’ Scheme.
* Employee Referral Scheme.

At Intelligent Data, we are committed to diversity and inclusivity, valuing the unique perspectives and contributions of individuals from all backgrounds. Join us in building an inclusive workplace that reflects the diversity of our communities.
