Summary


The Performance Manager responsibility for the line management of the NHSCFA’s performance team. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of an effective framework in relation to performance management and process improvement to drive delivery by supporting senior and functional management throughout the organisation. The Performance Manager will also support the delivery of NHSCFA strategy and business plan objectives.

• Lead the implementation and further development of the NHS CFA performance management strategy and framework.
• Lead the implementation and further development of the NHS CFA project and programme strategy and framework.
• Manage systems and processes for monitoring, review of performance, escalation of performance concerns andtargeting of action to improve performance in key areas of activity.
• Ensure organisation performance and service improvement deliverables, timescales, benefits and KPIs are well defined to supportongoing monitoring.
• Manage systems and processes for monitoring, review of programme and performance milestone and benefits delivery,escalation of risks and issues and targeting of mitigating action.
• Personally, lead focused reviews and investigation of key delivery and performance issues where required.
• Develop the performance team to support the organisations delivery by providing expert services that facilitate success.

• Preparing detailed analysis of highly complex information held on current and projected delivery and performance issues as the basis of informed reports to the NHSCFA Management Groups, Board and relevant Committees as required.
• Ensuring effective processes for monitoring and review of programmes and
performance through NHSCFA Management Groups and Board Committees.
• Organising and chairing performance/delivery planning/service improvement and progress monitoring meetings where necessary, creating agendas ensuring minutes and actions are documented to ensure delivery is accounted for.
• Ensuring performance reporting is ratified by internal stakeholder in accordance with the processes establish to ensure transparency and quality of performance information to NHSCFA’s board.
• Developing a culture of robust and consistent performance
management at all levels in the NHSCFA, ensuring effective flow of
information between relevant corporate, operational and support
• Ensuring interdependencies are accounted for and clearly articulated between departments to ensure business is deliverable and timelines are recorded.
• Providing guidance, support and training for managers on performance management issues in line with the NHSCFA framework.
• Supporting the development of appropriate management and leadership skills
and knowledge to underpin effective performance management at all levels.
• Working closely with the wider operational management to enable delivery and benefits realisation across all areas of NHSCFA activity.
• Further develop and deliver the annual business planning process, business plan.
• Line manager for all teams within the performance team and other staff involved in ad hoc programme, project initiatives and service improvement pieces as required.
• Develop and deliver impactful improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and delivery across NHSCFA, working with managers across the organisation and demonstrate impact financially and operationally.
• Continue to develop the performance team to be impactful an demonstrate value for NHSCFA.
• Demonstrate and articulate the benefits of a high functioning performance team.
• Co-ordinating the work of third-party suppliers and negotiate contracts for the
programmes and projects where necessary.
