Nixon Hire are currently hiring a Labourer to join our established accommodation division to support and deliver our business objectives within our Bedford Depot.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Full Time (45 hours per week)

Job Role

Ensuring workshop area / canteen / washrooms / yard areas are always kept clean and tidy as per basic Health & Safety guidelines, and in line with 5’s protocols.
Ensuring company assets are stored in the allocated areas as shown on each Depot Layout Plan.
Where applicable, painting plant, accommodation units and vehicles.
Emptying rubbish bins daily, in line with all Health & Safety procedures.
Washing down incoming plant / toilets / accommodation units etc, recording details of excessively dirty items to ensure customers can be charged accordingly.
Where applicable, cleaning accommodation units, toilets, and loading / cleaning furniture for accommodation units prior to despatch. Adhering to COSH regulations.
Delivering / collecting items to or from sites or suppliers.
Maintaining a safe and hazard free work area be it on customer site or within Nixon Hire premises.
Liaising with Stores Department to ensure adequate levels of cleaning equipment etc. are maintained.
Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality processes to ensure we are always compliant.
Driving a forklift if in possession of a forklift licence.
