Summary

Are you an outstanding Specialty or Associate Specialist Doctor looking for your next challenge in psychiatry and a competitive salary?

With us, you’ll have the opportunity to progress your career to Consultant level through our prestigious CESR programme.

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Specialty Doctor to shape services at Cygnet Hospital Beckton – while being fully supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist and first-class multidisciplinary team.

Cygnet Hospital Beckton is situated in the East End of London and has four different specialist wards including mental health with learning disability, personality disorder and an acute admissions service.

This role will be based on New Dawn ward, our 18 bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service for women. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act.

The service is structured so that there are two distinct areas in the ward aligned with the care pathway; pre-engagement and engagement. Following admission, a 12 week assessment period is undertaken to establish needs and determine the appropriate treatment pathway. Upon completion of the 12 weeks’ assessment, a clear pathway will be formulated with the service user and discussed in their first CPA (Care Programme Approach) meeting.

At Cygnet, our perks go way beyond pension schemes and excellent professional development.

You’ll also enjoy shopping, travel and leisure discounts – as well as a range of healthcare and financial benefits – to support you to be happy both in and out of work.

Apply now to enjoy excellent career prospects while reaping the rewards of making a difference to others – every day.
