Summary

40 hours per week.

£27,040 per annum / £13 per hour.

Plus, On Call Allowance and Mileage.

Permanent Contract. Driver essential.

Based from the Gateshead Office. Mainly working Monday to Friday, some pre-planned weekend and evening work.

The Role

Livability Thrive is a new children’s social care service launched earlier this year. The service is currently providing community based short break support for children with disabilities.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced care worker or team leader to join our growing team.

You will work with our Service Delivery Lead to:

Assess children and young people’s support needs.
Observe and shadow children at home and at school.
Write and review care plans and risk assessments.
Plan and communicate support rota’s.
Induct, mentor and observe new staff.
Deliver support and introduce support workers to children and their families.
Provide on call, telephone support for staff delivering care. (On a rota basis).


Who we’re looking for:

Have you got experience of working with children with disabilities or special educational needs?

Have you worked as a support worker, childcare worker or teaching assistant?

If yes, you could be the person we’re looking for!

We need someone who:

loves working with children and families,
likes to be active and likes to work in different environments and with different people
is confident with computers and using software like Excel, Word and Outlook.
is keen to develop and progress in their career
Is passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people with disabilities.
