Summary
Your new company
We are looking for Qualified Social Workers to join the Vale of Glamorgan in their Family Support Team. As part of this team, you will be working with families on a long-term plan, looking to utilise all parts of their network to minimise risk to children. You will be involved in all aspects of the cases, including planning and reviewing for children receiving care and support, as well as those with a child protection plan, or until court proceedings conclude.The Local Authority aims for social workers to work with a maximum of 20-22 children at one time, but this may be less depending on complexity.
Your new role
You will have the chance to work on a hybrid working model along with their flexible working policy that allows you to request compressed hours from 37 hours. You will have a manageable workload with time to spend with children and young people whilst providing an excellent social work service for them and their families/carers, in line with relevant legislation, guidance, regulations and national standards. As well as permanent opportunities to join this team, there are opportunities to join them on a temporary contract, offering a rate of up to £38 per hour.
What you'll need to succeed
- Social Work Degree and registered with Social Care Wales.
- Full UK driving licence.
