Summary
Security Supervisor - ZW
Mitie has a great opportunity for a Security Officer in Manchester. You will be contracted to 10 hours a week with a pay rate of £12.50 per hour. You will report to the sites Security Shift Manager. The shifts are Sunday and Monday evening, with the hours being 17:00 - 22:00. You will be based at the Zip World building inside Heaton Park, protecting assets on site, and preventing trespass in to the compound.

Main Duties
-As the first point of contact to all customers and clients, the Security Officer must be geographically aware of their local surroundings.
-There will be long periods of patrolling in all weather conditions, so someone who is not phased by working in an outdoor environment is desirable.
-The Security Officer must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
-Report to the Security Shift Manager - record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate
-The Security Officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
-The Security Officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
-The Security Officer should be able to work on own initiative.
-Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal).
-Retail Security experience is preferred but not essential.
-Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.
-Calm under pressure.
-Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

-Previous Security Experience
-SIA License
-SC Clearance desirable
-Driver with own car due to location
