Summary

Fairfield Academy is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful team to assist our class teachers with providing a world class education to our pupils. About the role
Fairfield Academy is looking for an energetic teaching assistant to provide one to one support for children and some class/small group support.

Assists with the development and implementation of EHCP/SEND Plans and Personal Care programmes for specified children identified with additional needs.
Establishes constructive relationships with pupils and interacts with them according to individual needs.
Promote structure and have good behaviour management skills
Lunch duty cover

This is a fixed term post for a year, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only. 190 days plus 5 inset days.

Who we are looking for

To support SLT in facilitating key initiatives and teaching methods within all classrooms.
To support the SLT in leading support staff CPD sessions to ensure all SEND pupils receive high quality interventions.
Under the specific supervision of the SLT, to work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver learning programmes.
To support a children with Educational Health Care Plans 1.1 or as part of a small group
Provide lunch cover
To encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities.
To assist with the general pastoral care of the pupils, including helping pupils who are unwell distressed or unsettled.
To assist the pupils with personal needs as appropriate. This may include personal hygiene care.
