Summary


We are thrilled to launch the recruitment for this extremely exciting opportunity that has arisen for a full time Band 7 Physiotherapist to work within the Medical Therapy Team at Weston General Hospital (WGH).

We are looking for:
• A highly motivated, proactive and innovative physiotherapist, who is passionate about service delivery, development and improvement.
• Someone who can take the lead of the acute NIV care at WGH.
• Someone with strong clinical and leadership skills to work closely with the physiotherapists and the acute respiratory multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high quality care to our patients.
• A physiotherapist who excels at teaching and communicating to support the clinical staff at Weston with NIV training and development.

The post holder will work closely with the Medicine Therapy Pathway lead, NIV Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) and Therapy Band 7s in the team to provide a high quality patient centred service to patients. They will also be an integral part of the senior respiratory Physiotherapy group, and will contribute to the weekend and bank holiday rota.

We are looking for an individual who has advanced skills, can treat and manage complex patients requiring ventilator support, and who is confident to challenge current practice and ensure that our patients receive up-to-date evidence based treatments.

The post holder will already be a skilled clinician with previous acute respiratory / NIV /Critical care experience, at Band 6 or above. They will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both patients and staff. They will need to be creative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service.

In service training programmes and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.
