Summary


Are you a compassionate and visible leader keen to lead a service towards high quality care delivery?

You will be a dynamic, motivated, and creative clinical leader who will drive forward and sustain improvements and changes to patient care. You will play an important role in leading and coordinating the quality improvement needs of the service, taking into account the strategic aims and objectives of the area and the Trust.

The post holder will work with the Head of Nursing and AHPs in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager and other senior colleagues to monitor, challenge and improve the quality of patient care within Secure Care and Offender Health services. You will need a sound knowledge of the national legislation regarding infection prevention and control, The Mental Health Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, and reducing restrictive practice. You will be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge in maintaining and improving clinical standards. You will maintain an oversight of staffing skill mix, environmental issues, and other aspects of compliance. There is also an expectation to work flexibly across the shifts as needed to support the service and an expectation to be part of the Trust wide On Call Rota.

The post holder will embrace multi-disciplinary working and work as a key member of the clinic Senior Leadership Team, you will also be required to represent the service at divisional and Trust forums and meetings.

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills will be required for this post, and you will need to be able to work effectively both on your own initiative and as part of the team.
