Public Protection Service - Nurturing Nature, Sustaining Life

Are you keen to broaden your Environmental Health experience working with our lively team of dedicated officers, tackling something and somewhere new every day in our beautiful county? We are offering this exciting opportunity to join us in our work and help us continue to deliver a quality service.

Our Public Protection Service sits within our large unitary authority, bringing together food and health and safety, trading standards, animal health, environmental protection, licensing, ASB and pest control. We are passionate about our community and take pride in our work. We encourage a culture that puts our customers at the heart of everything we do. The county’s population swells with our garrison community and the many visitors to a variety of historic and popular attractions, outdoor festivals and events each year.

We are looking for an Environmental Health Practitioner registered with EHORB meeting the Food Law Code of Practice competencies for this post. You'll play a vital part in supporting our proactive and reactive food safety and standards programmes, health and safety inspections and investigations and infectious disease roles, as well as a variety of other projects. Wiltshire’s diverse agricultural and food manufacturing base offers opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge.

You will work alongside an experienced and supportive team of officers who are knowledgeable, dedicated, hardworking and ever keen to protect the public whilst exploring innovative ways of providing a sustainable regulatory service.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, excels in communication, influence, and negotiation.

If you thrive in a busy setting, love challenges, and are an outstanding team player with a passion for high-quality customer service and continuous process improvement, we want to hear from you!
