Summary

To assist in the development of information solutions and support the production of accurate factual information about levels of Service activity, and other performance measures so that reviews of performance and subsequent policy and service development in Social Care/Education are grounded in fact.
This is an exciting opportunity for 2 enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join the Business Intelligence Team supporting the Children & Families and Adults services. The local authority is embarking on a major transformation journey, and you can be integral in helping to shape the local authority of the future.

The roles are responsible for assisting in the development of information solutions and supporting the production of accurate factual information about levels of Service activity, and other performance measures to ensure that subsequent policy and service developments in Social Care/ Education and Special Education and Disability (SEND) Services are grounded in fact.

One of the roles in the first instance will potentially be supporting a 3-year ICT migration project so experience in supporting a system data migration, user acceptance testing and support for end users would be a useful skill.

Whilst ideally you will have some experience of either relational database principles, be comfortable with creating SQL scripts and using Power BI reporting tools, training and support can be provided to suitable applicants.

Experience of working with the Liquid Logic and/ or Contract software solutions would be an advantage, together with an understanding of how case management and finance systems are configured, to ensure data and information can be readily extractable to inform business decisions.

You will hopefully be familiar with the inspection frameworks in Childrens and Adults services, together with an understanding of the various education data suites to support these inspections. Familiarity with the SEN 2 statutory returns requirements would also be an advantage.

You will ideally have a working knowledge of Children & Families and Adults Social Care processes and an understanding of the wider safeguarding agenda. You will also be aware of the current developments and changes in government legislation together with the statutory reporting requirements for Children and families and Adults services and how the case managements systems used support this.

There is the option for an office base at either Crewe or Macclesfield for the successful applicants.
