Summary


An exciting time to join Bolton CAMHS as we continue to strive to meet the needs of the CYPs of Bolton. We have an fantastic team that has an opening for a BAND 3 CAMHS Support Worker. A role that will be supported by our Team Managers, and Senior CAMHS Practitioners.

The service is always improving and currently after a series of rapid improvement events we have seen changes in all aspects our service that have improved care for CYPS.

As a CAMHS Support worker, the post holder will be supporting Practitioners, providing high standards of evidence based client centred care to children and young people with mental health [CYPMH] problems within the THRIVE Framework for service delivery.

The post holder will work as part of the team within Bolton CAMHS. The post holder will be expected to be proactively engaging our young people and their families in order to promote positive relationships.

The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours a week which is 9-5 Monday to Friday, however some occasional evening/weekend working may be requested depending on requirements of the role.

TheCAMHS Community Support Workerwill deliver high level, quality care and evidence-based, physical and mental health interventions within a multi-disciplinary team under the guidance and supervision of a CAMHS mental health practitioner.

TheCAMHS Community Support Workerwill provide planned care and be able to take appropriate action to achieve the planned aims and objectives of the service.

TheCAMHS Community Support Workerwill be proficient, competent and require minimum direct supervision in achieving the following: Participate in the running of ADHD clinics, including taking physical observations, side effect monitoring and mental state assessment within an CAMHS service. Working flexibly and responsively to provide support and assistance to meet the assessed physical health needs of the service and service users.

CAMHS Community Support Workerwill work closely with CYWPs, Partipation & Engagement lead and the Ithrive staff.

CAMHS Community Support Workermust always seek advice and support from a line manager or senior practitioner on duty if and when necessary.
