Summary
The Buyer role is a pivotal position within the Procurement team. Some of the key responsibilities include: - Developing productive ongoing relationships with end users and suppliers ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner; - Maintaining regular contact with end users and suppliers. - Seeking to influence and standardise products ensuring value for money is obtained; - Co-ordinating the process of purchase order activity, including expediting when necessary; - Undertaking formal documented quotation exercises in liaison with the Line Manager and end users as necessary; and - Working with Senior Team to support and co-ordinating special Trust Capital Project.
