Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced quality driven Deputy Manager who will play a critical role in assisting the Manager in overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of our mental healthcare facility. You will work closely with the Manager, and the wider team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, adherence to regulatory standards, and the overall smooth functioning of the home. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the field of mental health.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Manager in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the home.
Support the Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the team to ensure the provision of evidence-based and person-cantered care to individuals with mental health conditions.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback, guidance, and support as needed.
Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance standards.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and staff morale.
Resolving issues in a timely and empathetic manner.
Collaborate with external professionals to enhance service integration and continuity of care.
Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and outreach strategies to expand the reach and impact of our mental healthcare services.
Oversee internal audits and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and organisational policies.
Qualifications:
A relevant professional Qualification at Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above (salary will increase to £29,000 after a six-month probationary period)
Knowledge of conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a mental healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices in the field.
Organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, patients, and external professionals.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to mental healthcare providers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
