Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the People and Resourcing (P&R) team in ESMCP. We’re a dedicated group of professionals driven to providing a service to the ESMCP programme in resourcing, workforce planning and capability development.
As the Talent, Capability and Skills Lead, you’ll collaborate with professionals across the programme and government to ensure the ESMCP programme maintains a culture of continuous learning and growth so that its people are able to develop to their full potential.

Your main day to day responsibilities will be:
Working with Head and Deputy Head of Workforce Planning, Resourcing and Skills, Resourcing Manager and Workforce Planning to ensure the programme has a joined up and cohesive approach to people management, development and capability.
Helping to improve organisational capability through the talent management process and driving the use of appropriate learning methods within ESMCP.
Collaborating across ESMCP and the wider Home Office to ensure the programme is making best use of talent development programmes.
Working across ESMCP to ensure that learning and development tools/practices, policies, products, and programmes are widely understood, well accessed and meet the requirements of the programme,
Maintaining relationships and alignment with Project and Programme Delivery (PPD) and Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) professions.
This role will in due course involve line management of a Higher Executive Officer (HEO) Skills and Capability Support Officer, providing timely feedback, leadership and help in developing their capability and career.
There may be need for travel to or from Bristol and London, but overnight stays will be very unusual. The costs of any travel associated with this role will be met by the business area.
