As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for developing transport policies, strategies and initiatives which reconcile wider objectives with the authority's goals. You will be required to lead and manage a wide range of diverse projects and multi-faceted transport strategies, schemes and proposals. You will create, commission and manage business cases for complex transport projects and schemes in such a way that maximises the Council’s chance of success when bidding for competitive funding opportunities at a national level.
Although not essential, experience and knowledge of working with the rail sector would be an advantage.
