Summary

CLEANING ASSISTANT - CAMBRIDGE PARK ACADEMY

Grade & Scale point: 1, scp 2
Salary: £22,366 FTE, £9,067 Actual Salary, £11.59/hr
Hours of work: 15 hrs/week, 3 hours/day before 7.00am (negotiable)
Contract: Permanent, All year round
Start date: ASAP Following pre-employment checks

Cambridge Park Academy is a student first school where staff are dedicated to the education and care of all its students. The Academy is swiftly developing to meet the ongoing change of population and a steady intake of students with more complex needs, mainly with Autistic Spectrum Condition and language and communication difficulties.

We are now looking to recruit a permanent position to work as part of a committed team who are driven in delivering a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness across the Academy. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Daily classroom and shared area cleaning
• Mopping hard floors and vacuuming carpeted areas
• Damp wiping all furniture, fixtures and fittings, emptying bins
• Maintaining toilet / washroom cleanliness
• Liaising with the Site Manager for larger seasonal projects
• To undertake relevant Health & Safety training
• To report any potential site issues to the Site Manager


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
• Have previous experience or a general knowledge of cleaning and cleaning
methods
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level
• Be organised and show initiative
• Be an excellent communicator and approachable to all staff and stakeholders
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a small cleaning team
• Have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the school and the community
• Take pride in a job well done
