-This role supports housekeeping service and reports into Head of Housekeeping Manager.
-There is a team of 5 porters who work together to fulfill all porter tasks within the timeframe.
-Assist with delivery and physical set up and take down of chairs and tables for small office moves and all events
-Mail post is delivered around the site by porters
-Ensure all waste streams are segregated and placed in the central waste bins
-In order to be successful in this role you will have previous experience of working in a similar role or environment and you will need at least 5 years work footprint in the Uk . You will be experienced in lifting and handling furniture and equipment. You will be customer service orientated and be a team player. With an energized attitude you will be a strong communicator and always well groomed. SC clearance required or willing to go through the SC clearance process.
Main Duties
-Working in a team and assisting all porters with setting up conferences and courses, collecting and transporting linen to the housekeepers and making sure the site is clean and well maintained.
-The ability to drive the company minibus is preferable but not essential
-Daily tasks requested by the college for various tasks
-Mailroom post is delivered around the site that includes post and parcels
What we are looking for
-You must be physically fit enough to safely lift store of linen
-Able to work on your own initiative and flexible in your approach to work
-A full driving license is advantageous as electric buggies are used onsite
-Due to the nature of the role you will have stayed in the UK for at least five years without a break
-SC and NPPV clearances are mandatory to work on site, the approval of this is subject to employment
