A SEND school based in Brent, NW9, requires a teaching assistant who is passionate about working with pupils with SEND and committed to making a difference to the progress and achievement of their pupils. The school caters for pupils aged 3 – 19 years old with SLD, ASD, Complex needs and challenging behaviour.

Job Description
The ideal SEN teaching assistant will have previous experience working with ASD pupils – knowledge of PECS or Makaton is also highly desirable. You must have a calm nature, the ability to de-escalate situations, a proactive attitude, and the desire to go above and beyond the call of duty. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. This is a full-time, long-term role to start ASAP and continue until the end of the academic year.

About the role:
• SEN Teaching Assistant – Experience with SLD/ Complex Needs and Challenging behaviour is advantageous
• PECS, Makaton – highly desirable!
• Full time (Mon-Fri)
