Summary
Title: CNC Turner / Manual Machinist The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Manual Lathe Machinist to work at our client's busy manufacturing site, based in Hilsea, Portsmouth.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Working in the production facility of a busy manufacturing company Operating a Manual Lathe CNC machine with Fanuc controls Working from drawings and diagrams Quality inspection of manufactured metal parts Using a range of measuring equipment Knowledge of Fanuc controls, as well as XYZ Prototrack controls and Heidenhain controls, are essential to be considered for this position. The ideal candidate will come from a Manual Lathe background and will have a good understand of day-to-day production operations. Please ensure you meet this criteria before applying.
Due to the nature of the company, any successful candidate will have to undergo an enhanced police check before starting the job, which can be a wait of up to 12 weeks. Please can we ask that all applicants are happy with this and have a clean criminal record.
This is a full-time, ongoing position, with the company offering a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period.
This is to work on late shifts. Working hours are Monday - Wednesday, 15:30 - 01:30, and Thursday, 15:30 - 23:30. You get a three day weekend.
Starting pay rate of £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
