Summary
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Horticultural Gardener in Plymouth to manage a small team. The successful candidate will transfer to a full time contract after completing a successful 3 month trial. You must have experience within the horticultural, landscaping or similar industry. Once full time, you will be given a company vehicle to allow you to travel to various locations in and around the city.
Experience required: Good communication skills with site staff, team members, customers and the public Competent in a variety landscaping task delivering consistent quality. Able to support and mentor less experienced staff. Good at forward planning rounds to maximise efficiency. Delegates effectively to other members of the team including setting goals. Have the ability to maintain and get the best out of machinery and manage field repairs where possible. Always efficient in loading all tools and materials required to conduct the days planned work, either individually before the team arrive or effectively utilising the full team. Have a positive attitude to tasks and the team. Days and Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm (Once Full time and during April to October) Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm (Once Full time and during November to March) Pay Rate: £12.55ph to £13.40ph, dependent on experience Other benefits of working for The Best Connection Group Limited include: Weekly pay Online Pay slips 29 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday) Pension contribution Choice of long term, short term and odd days or weekends available Flexible shift patterns Possible permanent positions following successful trial period Ongoing assignments throughout 2024
