Overview:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced small animal vet to join a successful practice in East London. Working on a mix of consults and ops, you will be on a rota that helps maintain your own wellbeing as well as that of the animals that you care for. The Practice is situated in the beautiful Walthamstow area of London with many places to eat, drink and shop close by. The practice is also housed in a purpose-built facility with an excellent array of equipment on hand.
Your role will involve you working alongside a team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons to contribute towards providing a high standard of clinical care to their clients and their animals. You will be a key participant in the running of a dynamic and forward-thinking clinic, supporting the Head Vet and the rest of the veterinary team. The practice has its own separate dental, x-ray lab and ultrasound suites. It also has at least two operating theatres, six consulting rooms and an open, spacious prep area, as well as separate dog and cat recovery wards and walk-in isolation.
Our client fully funds post grad certificates and invests in the appropriate equipment and facili-ties. They also offer the opportunity to consult and operate each day. There is no weekday sole charge and no scheduled out of hours requirements. Weekends are sole charge, but only once you have built up your skills and experience by shadowing another member of the team.
They offer opportunities for Vets to do voluntary work overseas for up to 2 weeks a year which is fully funded.
The Rota:
• Full time
• 4-day week (37.5 hours per week)
• 1:4 weekends
• No OOH's
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon confident with all routine procedures and surgeries. You will be passionate about animal care and have previous experience of working in a small animal practice.
