Summary
Title: Machine Operative / Mechanical Assembler The Best Connection are currently seeking to recruit a SAW Operator to join our clients team based in Chichester, Hampshire.
Duties to include but not limited to: Measuring, cutting, and preparing natural and engineered wood for saw machinery operations Achieve daily production targets according to the clients production schedule Complete jobs on schedule for dispatch deadlines Work from technical drawings with high attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and prevent wastage Using both hand tools and power tools. Conduct quality checks on materials prior to CNC processing Clean and maintain machinery and tools Reporting deficiencies and safety issues to the Production Manager Report technical machinery faults promptly Operate forklift for material handling Engage in general labouring duties to help with the movement of good. Requirements: Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred High attention to detail and level of accuracy Can-do attitude with a focus on meeting deadlines and targets Willingness to learn and work overtime when required Working hours are Monday - Friday (Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30). With an early finish on Friday(07:30am-12:30pm)
This is a full time, ongoing position with the potential of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
This role is to start at the beginning of May.
The pay for this role is £11.44 p/h.
