Summary

Job Description

The purpose of this post is to provide ICT/AV support services to all departments, members of staff, pupils and other stakeholders in the school.

Responsibilities

  • Specialised ICT and AV Tasks
  • Health and Safety
  • Provision and organisation of materials and equipment
  • Responsible for relevant in-service training / CPD
  • Financial responsibility including inventory tasks

The Individual

  • Expertise in a minimum of one of the areas of ICT /Technical /AV
  • Qualified to HNC level in a Electrical/Electronic Engineering; or ICT; or equivalent as demonstrated by experience in any of these fields
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • In depth knowledge of software applications including word, excel and general internet access
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn
  • Self confidence
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A commitment to ensure that appropriate health and safety standards are met
  • Evidence of an ability to prioritise work tasks for self
  • Ability to accurately record information
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • An ability to communicate technical ICT issues to all within the school environment
  • Ability to lift and carry computer hardware in conjunction with moving and handling regulations
