Summary
Clinical assessments, both initial and follow-up, of patients with cognitive impairment. This work is both clinic-based and home visits. Support to colleagues in regard to assessments, investigations, treatment options and ongoing management plans. Liaison with GPs and other health and social care colleagues regarding clinical concerns of patients in the community. Chairing MDTs both when the consultant is present and absent so as to develop leadership skills. Teaching of undergraduates, post-graduates, other disciplines and GPs in matters related to dementia and dementia care. Audit and QI projects. The consultant will provide clinical supervision for this work.
