Summary

The Executive Assistant & Finance Capability Manager will work to the Head of Finance Capability and Directorate Strategy and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the directorate’s operational function is well managed.

This is an interesting and wide-ranging role, where you will be expected to be flexible to support the Senior Leadership Team and the wider directorate. The role offers the opportunity for significant interaction with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Person specification
The ideal candidate would have the following key skills and experience:

Essential requirements

A highly motivated self starter, who is able to demonstrate the ability to take ownership and deliver at pace
Confident in managing a varied workload and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently will be essential
Ability to develop new initiatives, promote and embed them across the directorate
Adaptable and flexible and a keen eye for prioritisation, with the ability to respond quickly to new demands
Proactive and able to look ahead to anticipate issues
Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholder
Desirable skills

Confident in developing and delivering training packages, virtually and in person
Experience of managing a complex, ever-changing diaries for senior managers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
