Summary
Tadworth Primary School Governing Body wishes to appoint a highly organised and self-motivated clerk to join our team.
Tadworth Primary School is a popular and successful two form entry primary school with a warm and caring ethos. The clerk is accountable to the Governing Body, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, the Headteacher and other Governors. The clerk to the Governors will ensure the smooth running of the Governing Body including: preparing agendas and meeting paperstaking and distributing minutesgiving administrative supportkeeping records and up to date information on policies and date of reviews, andproviding procedural and legislative advice.This is a part time role, covering four Full Governing Body meetings and approximately six committee meetings per school year. Meetings are held in term time. Meetings are usually held in the evening with start times between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. The clerk is also expected to attend all relevant training events and briefings. The clerk is paid for 4 hours a week term time only. if additional hours are required to be worked these are paid either annually or as agreed.Tadworth Primary School is wholly committed to safeguarding and to promoting the welfare of all children; we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS and Barred List checks will therefore be required. We are very proud of our school and we would love to show you around. Visits to the school are highly recommended. The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Monday 17 June at 9am with shortlisting taking place that day. Interviews will be held over the following week.
