Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) (16 hours per week - Over 2 days)

We are looking for four optimistic, dynamic, composed and motivated leaders who will help shape the future strategy and direction of Physiotherapy across our charity.

This is a high-profile role which can offer you the opportunity to further develop your knowledge, skills and experience in clinical and operational leadership. The post-holder will need to demonstrate they can use their initiative and leadership skills to influence positive behaviours and change within the Physiotherapy service. You will be accountable for supporting the implementation of central initiatives across regional locations, and ensuring your region achieve clinical and operational performance in line with identified SLAs and KPIs along with supporting commercial growth.

As a Regional Physiotherapy Lead you'll:

  • Be a strong advocate for the physiotherapy business and able to gain staff engagement for delivery of organisational strategy

  • A member of the Physiotherapy PL:AN team ensuring that the clinical governance policies and processes are completed locally.

  • Communicate and recommend actions to address issues and opportunities affecting physiotherapy and Nuffield Health service lines to the National Physiotherapy Lead and Network Operational Lead for Physiotherapy

  • Provide support to ensure the regional sites achieve clinical and operational performance in line with identified SLAs and KPIs.

  • Oversee performance of Physiotherapy departments in their region within Hospitals, Fitness & Wellbeing Centres, and Corporate Sites.

  • Act as a physiotherapy subject matter expert to General Managers, Health System Directors, Directors of Wellbeing and regional leadership teams.

  • Support the National Physiotherapy Lead with external (including client facing) meetings and related initiatives and workstreams at local level.

  • Support the recruitment of physiotherapists across Region including the screening of applicants and the interviewing of key Senior Physiotherapists and Managers

  • Establish and maintain key relationships with regional stakeholders including alongside Physiotherapy Hospital Managers, Clinic Managers, General Managers, and Directors of Clinical Services

  • Regularly reviews quality data and clinical governance KPIs and addresses areas of concern.

  • Support mobilisation of service delivery projects within region / local site

  • Support improvements in site P&L across hospitals, consumer and corporate sites and act as a SME to place recommendations, take personal responsibility for challenging status quo and drive change to enhance commercial, clinical and operational performance.

  • Be an attendee to PL:AN SLT Meetings contributing to vision and strategy of physiotherapy across our Charity.

To succeed as a Regional Physiotherapy Lead we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated, proactive and confident Chartered Physiotherapist with a passion for leading people, change and projects. You will also:

  • Have had experience of leading a team or service within Nuffield Health

  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor colleagues towards optimal performance relating to clinical and operational aspects of their role.

  • Have clinical experience in leadership, audit, governance, training and have the ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate effective time management based on the needs to the business and demands of the role

This is an autonomous role, so strong self-leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential. The successful candidate will also be a confident, articulate communicator who is able to influence and communicate with a broad range of populations, including clinical and non-clinical colleagues, senior and executive leaders.
