Summary

Randstad Construction, Property & Engineering are recruiting for a Technical Facilities Manager with ideally a mechanical or electrical bias for a leading FM client. The role is based in the Ayrshire, with some travel and hybrid working.

As a Technical Facilities Manager you will be managing a large team of multi skilled engineers working on well known hospitality and retail contracts. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on gas systems, small installation projects, servicing and repairs.

Package:

  • Competitive salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)

Role objectives:

  • Provide technical support and guidance on the telephone to engineers out in the field.
  • Interact between administration team, management team and regional engineering team to disseminate information into the field.
  • Monitor engineers and promote best practice in health and safety, engineering and customer care.

  • To be the Subject Matter Expert for your regional team's key technical competencies.

  • To liaise with client staff to determine requirements and to promote continuous improvement works and project related activity.Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.

Qualifications:

  • Technically qualified to at least City & Guilds level/ UK Level 3 NVQ in relevant electrical disciplines or time-served with suitable experience
  • Relevant H&S qualification
  • GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Math's and English or recognised equivalent
  • Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within the Industrial and Commercial sectors
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and understand schematic and wiring diagrams
  • Full UK Driving Licence
