Job Description:
My Client are a leading manufacturer of kitchen furniture and components for kitchen furniture. We are looking for an experienced warehouse operative for a temp to perm position within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Order Picker your primary responsibilities will include:
1 Picking Orders: Utilise pick sheets to accurately and efficiently select products and materials required for customer orders.
2 Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards. Identify and report any defects or discrepancies promptly.
3 Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials and products from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed.
4 Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift counterbalance truck as needed to assist with material handling tasks. This includes safely manoeuvring the forklift, loading and unloading pallets, and moving products within the warehouse.
Additional Information:
This role is predominantly a manual position, and while you will operate a forklift counterbalance truck occasionally, manual handling skills will be essential due to the nature of the position and the products involved.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Valid Forklift Counterbalance License.
* Prior experience in order picking and warehouse operations.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
