Summary

About The Role
Night Support Worker. The Manse, Lower Freystop. Hourly rate – £11.60 to £12.00 per hour
Full Time: 40 hours per week - 2 week rolling rota

We’re a leading organisation dedicated to provide exceptional care and support to children and adults with complex needs associated with autism.

Located in the small friendly village of Freystrop on the outskirts of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, The Manse is a spacious home for up to 5 adults from the age of 18. The home combines peaceful village living with direct access to Pembrokeshire's largest market town, with its shops, cafes and amenities just two miles away. The home has a large back garden for relaxing in or catching up with friends which becomes the perfect sun trap in the summer.

If you possess a compassionate nature and find fulfilment in empowering remarkable adults through nurturing, caring, motivating, and encouraging their decision-making, then this role is tailor-made for you.
A typical day will include:

- Providing high quality bespoke care to the people we support, including keeping accurate records.
- Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment, and that it feels like home.
- Being a positive role model to the people we support and promoting their independence through a range of activities.
- General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and elements of personal care.
- Having fun with the people we support!

Sound good so far? We are simply looking for people who care, and have:

- A can-do attitude and resilient nature.
- Compassion and empathy.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team.
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential.
- Candidates with a full UK licence and access to their own vehicle is essential due to the rural location of the home.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
In return, we offer:

- Join us for a clear career progression and valuable qualifications - 97% of our managers progressed internally
- Health plan - after probation
- 'Refer a friend' scheme - earn up to £1000 per any successful permanent referral;
- Eligibility for a 'Blue Light Card' for additional discounts at a range of retailers

At Orbis Education and Care we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff. We remain committed to ensuring our teams can bring their true selves to work without risk or fear of discrimination.

Whether you're an experienced social care professional, or you’re looking to make a difference in the lives of the individuals we support, then we would love to hear from you. Please apply and our dedicated recruitment team will be in touch.
