Summary
See attached job description. : This part-time Clinical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist position is in the Solid Organ Group located in the Anthony Nolan Laboratory, which is responsible for all aspects of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (H&I) relating to the renal, liver and pancreatic islet cell transplant programmes of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The Clinical, Biomedical Scientist or a scientist with extensive experience working in the H&I field must be able to perform HLA typing, detect and identify HLA antibodies on the Luminex platform, and perform lymphocyte cross-matches with a flow cytometer to a very high standard. Previous experience of performing on-call H&I testing is essential and full participation in the 24/7 on-call rota is necessary. In addition to this willingness and ability to actively participate in relevant research and development, audits of activity, teaching and training in this area is also required.
