Summary
Podiatry Assistant –St. Marks Hospital Maidenhead
Band 2 (Band 3 -when qualified)
Hours:37.5hours perweek
Do you have a caring personality, relate well topeople,and enjoy working with your hands, then this could be the job for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as part of the podiatry team.
You will provide foot care, foot health education andindividualisedcareprogramsas directed by the Podiatrist for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs.
You should have a good standard of general education and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience of working in a caring role would bebeneficialhoweveron the jobtraining will be provided to enable you to fulfil the requirements of the role.
The post holder will be based inMaidenheadand be required to travel between clinics and visit patients in their own homes therefore a drivinglicenseand own transport is essential.
Post holder will progress from Band 2 to Band 3 when competencies are successfully completed.
Enhanced DBS Certificate will berequired.

To work as part of a locality podiatry team whilst undertakingatraining programmespecific to foot health and Podiatry. To work as directed by the Podiatrist, in clinics, hospitals andpatientshomes to provide high quality clinical care.
To provide foot health education and individualised care programmes as directed by the referring Podiatrist for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs. Most commonly, care will be provided for patients who suffer from metabolic,vascularor neurological disorders that place the lower limbs in a compromised situation.
