Occupational therapy caseloads are varied, challenging and rewarding, requiring application of a wide range of therapeutic skills to encompass functional and cognitive assessments for patient care planning and onward referrals. You will join our experienced and supportive teams in a variety of environments.

Close multi-disciplinary working and links with NHS and community partners exist to address needs at all stages of the clinical pathways, with occupational therapy playing a crucial role.

Your responsibilities will include:

To act as an autonomous practitioner, providing assessment and treatment, and managing your own patient caseload within a speciality team, with the support and mentoring of senior team members.

For rotational posts, staff will rotate to different clinical areas across the region. Each rotation will have clear learning objectives to consolidate and build on graduate skills and academic knowledge.

To plan and prioritise your own workload, delegating tasks as appropriate and communicating progress with the multi-disciplinary team.

To supervise and train students as required.

To communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress treatment programmes and provide reassurance.

Use clinical reasoning and treatment skills to deliver personalised treatment plans based on evidence based practice.
