Summary
In order to support you in this exciting role we will support and develop you to: - Manage your own caseloads in sexual and reproductive health by providing you with an induction program that will enable you to work with your patients autonomously. However, there is always a senior clinician available for clinical support. There is also an ANP within the team who will be available to support with training needs. - Deliver teaching/mentoring to our cohort of student nurses and midwives as well as the opportunity to deliver departmental teaching. We believe, as a department that our ongoing education is vital, and we run weekly academic mornings delivered by in-house and external speakers - essential within the rapidly changing field of sexual and reproductive health. - Partake in quality improvement projects with support and training provided. - Receive regular clinical supervision and you will be allocated anexperienced mentor/clinical supervisor. - Be actively involved in day-to-day clinic management, and nurse-in-charge duties. - Progress your career within the department with further training, including DFSRH contraception training, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. When ready, our deputy CNS team are able to apply for CNS positions, Deputy Sister Positions, or Sister posts, depending on individual experience.
