About the Role
Caledonia Housing Group provide services to 5,345 homes and in excess of 2,000 factoring customers across 8 local authority areas. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Officer within our Assets Department to oversee the day to day delivery of planned and cyclical investment projects across Caledonia Housing Group. The role will be performed mainly in the West of Scotland (East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire) however there may be a requirement to travel across other areas of operation on occasion.
Key Responsibilities

Delivery of planned, cyclical and service contracts
Procurement and management of external contractors and suppliers
Understanding of property related legislation that can be applied to ensure homes remain safe and compliant
Ensure adherence to Group policies
Budgetary management and identifying and implementing efficiencies in investment programmes
Performance management of contractors and consultants
Delivering high levels of customer care throughout project stages ranging from inception through to completion
Provide technical support to non-technical colleagues
Carry out stock condition surveys and damp and mould inspections

To be successful in this role, it is expected that you will have a construction background with a minimum of an HNC in a property/ construction related discipline. Ideally within a public sector organisation / housing association however applications for others with relevant experience and transferable skills will be considered. A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role.
