Summary
We are looking for up to two apprentices to be placed in the Fabrication and Welding department or potentially in the CNC section.You should show a keen interest in this area of engineering and have a knowledge of what the role requires. Primarily in the Fabrication department, you will be learning all aspects of welding, including but not limited to MiG; TiG; Robotic Welding; Gas and Arc. You will have the opportunity to programme and operate the latest Mazak, Fibre Laser cutting machine with multi pallets, You will be trained in the operation and programming of a Panasonic Robotic welding cell that is serviced by a Kuka, pick and place robot, collecting and placing components for welding. Further skills will be gained in the many processes undertaken, whilst producing a variety of products used throughout the world, these skills to include: cutting; drilling; bending; rolling and forming. This will be complimented with day release training at Exeter Technology College, for the duration of your apprenticeship. To compliment this training, there are opportunities for movement within the factory to gain knowledge of other machining processes, to include CNC Turning and Milling on many new multi axis, multi-pallet machines in the Rotolok Group. Full attendance at college is required and holidays are expected to be taken to coincide with college holidays were possible. Whilst in the factory, you will be expected to work in a safe manor at all times, respecting the safety of others around you. Full PPE will be provided and all tools required to complete the task are made available. You will receive full training on the processes or machines that you will be working on.

As an apprentice you will be required to attend college for two days a week in the first year, with one day a week in the subsequent years. You will also learn whilst on the job.
Qualifications required
Grade 4/C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Skills required
As an apprentice you will need to be able to: study at college for a further 4 years or more; have an understanding of engineering processes; be able to work within a team; be organised; be able to concentrate at all times and understand the risks involved before you commence any work.
