Summary
Clinical Practice On a regular planned basis, or in response to an emergent need, contribute to clinical practice by working alongside learners delivering clinical care. Use coaching/mentoring techniques during contact time with learners to identify learning needs, improve standards, generate learning plans, respond to concerns, and escalate where necessary Have highly developed clinical skills relevant to their areas of responsibility such that they may act as an expert resource for learners and clinical educators. Demonstrate and promote a high standard of person-centred, holistic care. Actively collaborate with a range of multi-agency and inter-professional resources in their practice Lead an education team according to requirements outlined within the post holders job plan. Work independently and within a team structure according to the standards set by their professional body Apply leadership principles when influencing the ward and multi-disciplinary team Use professional judgement in managing complex and unpredictable care events Apply specialist knowledge and skill in complex decision making to determine evidence-based therapeutic interventions Demonstrate and promote the effective management of patient journey / flow by teaching and contributing to the development of systems for operational performance Model and teach adequate patient documentation that fulfils professional standards. Support clinical team leaders to set and monitor the standard of documentation Be highly effective in using skilled interpersonal communication to convey information and advocate for the interests and well-being of those for whom they are responsible
