Summary


We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Bronchoscopy waiting list team are looking for 1 Full time permanent scheduler's - Wythenshawe Hospital.

The successful applicant will need to have a keen eye for detail, work well under stress and be able to adapt to an ever-changing priority workload. The role is fast-paced and excellent organisational skills are essential. You must be confident and work well on your own and also alongside our friendly, hard-working and fun team. The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient and high quality service to support the waiting list team in the management of booking and scheduling waiting lists, ensuring that key access standards are met in line with the requirements of the Trust access policy.

Responsible for providing efficient and high quality administrative support.

Ensuring patients have all the relevant pre-admission tests and checks.

Liaising with consultants with regards to case-mix, additions to lists and list changes. Responsible for ensuring theatre lists/ Bronchoscopy clinics are constructed to maximise levels of utilisation. Also responsible for liaising with Bronchoscopy staff /Consultant/Nurses with regards to equipment and to report any capacity issues to a line manager

To attend weekly listings meetings as and when required

Agreeing pre-operative assessment appointments and admission dates with patients. Also to undertake to deal with patients who wish to change or cancel their appointments or admission date.
In addition to be responsible for ensuring all X-Rays / Histology are available in a timely manner for patients attending for preoperative assessment or having a telephone pre-operative assessment
and admission/ day case – X-Rays from other sites at the Trust,
whilst recording case note movements using the case note tracking system
