Summary
1:1 Learning support Assistant Y5
Are you passionate on making a difference to children's lives and helping those who require additional support?
Do you have experience in a primary school setting supporting pupils with SEND?
Main duties:
• Provide individual 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, promoting their engagement and progress in class activities.
• You will monitor the pupils’ response to the learning activities and, where appropriate, modify or adapt the activities as agreed with the class teacher to achieve the intended learning outcomes.
• You will assist in the recording of lessons and assessment as required by the class teacher.
Requirements:
• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification – CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or equivalent
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND
• Have the ability to effectively manage behaviour using positive strategies
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
