Summary

Position: P.E Coach & Wellbeing Instructor

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: £28,000 per annum.

In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of Individuals and helping them flourish and thrive. You will plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the subject of P.E. You will be a role model that will inspire and empower our students to lead a healthy and physically active lifestyle through creating and delivering outstanding PE, sport and physical activity sessions and lessons that are engaging and promote learning through movement. Within this role you will be delivering sports coaching sessions in a school environment. This will include before school clubs, lunch clubs and after school clubs. You will also have the opportunity to manage, train and compete within the community.

The ideal candidate will:

  • A range of National Governing Body sporting qualifications.
  • Experience working as a sports coach, being able to recognise what high quality sports practice looks like.
  • Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours & SEMH.
  • Knowledge of some of the social issues facing children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment.
  • Supporting the learning of children.
  • Good ICT skills or willingness to learn on developing ICT skills.
  • Competent literacy and numeracy skills.
