Job Description

Jobs & Business Glasgow are Glasgow’s biggest provider of employment and training, and our principal objective is to reduce the gap between Glasgow’s and Scotland’s employment rate by increasing the percentage of Glasgow’s jobs going to Glasgow’s residents.

We are currently looking for 10 Employability & Skills Advisors to join our team, with 8 permanent posts and 2 fixed-term posts up to 31 March 2026.

Position Details

Our Employability & Skills Advisors provide sustained and meaningful support to customers across the city from the initial point of contact to them entering employment.

If successful you will be on hands for Glasgow residents seeking to unlock their employment potential. You’ll guide and empower them with skills development, training opportunities, and the perfect job search strategy. Think inspiring career journeys, not just another job search!

The annual salary for the post starts at £29,019.95 per annum, progressing to £33,108.98 on an incremental scale. This is based on a 35-hour working week, working Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm; and Friday, 9am – 4pm. Though we welcome discussions on flexible working as part of the recruitment process.
