• To conduct all clinical interventions and related actions in line with relevant professional standards
• To demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and to maintain a contemporary record of such activity, in line with recommendations of CSP and HCPC

• To ensure that their own personal mandatory training is up to date including refresher training

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, and offers a full range of district hospital services and community health services to this population.

Commitment to undertake ongoing in-service training and development is essential. You should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change. Our commitment to you is to provide the environment for this to happen and ensure that you are part of our defined preceptorship programme.

If you are motivated to deliver high standards of care and have the personal qualities and characteristics as outlined in the Blackpool person then this could be the post for you.

We recommend that all individuals employed in patient facing roles, or those located on a ward or department where patients receive a service should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Utilise expertise to establish an accurate diagnosis and patient centred management plan. This may involve seeing patients without prior contact from their GP or following a GP referral.

Progress and request investigations as indicated to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regime, understanding the information limitations derived from these and the relative sensitivity and specificity of particular tests diagnostic services such as x-rays and blood tests, and interpret and act on results to aid diagnosis and the management plans of patients.

Deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions.
