Summary
TeacherActive are the biggest SEND recruitment agency in the West Midlands and are currently seeking tutors to support the learning and development of children with special needs requiring home tuition. The school is based in Solihull and offers an alternative curriculum to students aged 11 – 16 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. This SEND school is desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic Tutor to start immediately with a focus on Maths, English, and Science. The hours are flexible, part time and you will be working term time only.
The successful home tutor will have the following:
• Experience working with SEND and SEMH
• Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are welcome to apply
• Have a good standard of education
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 basis
