I am representing a very well-established manufacturing business in Willenhall looking for a CAD Technician to join their business. This role is offering opportunity for people to join the business and develop their skills. As a CAD Technician, you will be involved in supporting the Engineering Director with projects that will directly contribute to improved efficiency and productivity at the business.
Responsibilities as a CAD Technician:
- Your day-to-day tasks will involve technical drawing creation and amendments as part of our bespoke service.
- You will also provide technical support, working closely with our manufacturing partners and purchasing department to ensure the correct specifications are produced and manufactured off-site.
- Additionally, you will support our marketing team with technical drawings (3D models) for marketing purposes, assisting with filing, storage, and data retrieval.
- Following instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using solidworks
- Taking verbal direction and implementing it into technical drawings.
- Coordinating filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings.
- Being able to define problems and find solutions for them.
- Knowledge of using different software to convey instructions, technical specifications, assembly procedures, measurements, and customer requirements.
- Marketing support, a knowledge of Adobe software
Requirements for the successful CAD Technician:
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Solidworks experience
- Metal Fabrication manufacturing experience
- Willingness to progress and develop further their career in Engineering
