Summary
Awaafi restaurant, renowned for its specialized Kerala food and Arabic cuisine, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Chef at Awaafi, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting authentic dishes that align with our motto, "Feed your soul."
Prepare and cook a variety of Kerala and Arabic dishes with authenticity and precision.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain menu offerings in line with Awaafi's culinary theme and vision.
Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently met.
Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen hygiene.
Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus and special promotions.
Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency in food preparation.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Stay updated on culinary trends and innovations to continually enhance Awaafi's offerings.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in a similar establishment, with expertise in Kerala and Arabic cuisine.
Extensive knowledge of traditional Kerala and Arabic cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
Strong creativity and passion for developing new recipes and menu items.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience is preferred.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
